Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix and let come to a boil, stirring constantly.
  2. Pour over pieces of torte when served.
  3. Heat leftover sauce when serving again.
