Ingredients

  • 2 cups prepared baking mix
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 large tart apples, peeled and chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Prepare biscuit mix as directed on the package.
  2. Roll dough on a lightly floured board to about 10 x 12 inches.
  3. Spread honey evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Combine cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and sugar; toss with peeled and chopped apples.
  5. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the honeyed dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly like a jelly roll, starting from one of the long sides.
  7. Place the rolled dough in a greased pan with sides and bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
  8. Slice and serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or hot vanilla sauce.
