Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. corn oil margarine
  • 4 cups dry bread cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups diced unpeeled apples
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. dried sage
  • freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook onions and celery in margarine for 5 minutes or until tender.
  2. Combine cooked vegetables with all other dried ingredients, including bread cubes, apples, poultry seasoning, sage, and pepper.
  3. Add broth and toss lightly to combine.
  4. Use as stuffing for a 10 to 12-pound turkey or serve as a side dish for 12 servings.
