Ingredients

  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 (17 oz) cans yams, drained
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Toss sliced apples and chopped pecans with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Alternate layers of the apple mixture and drained yams in a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  3. Dot the layered mixture with margarine.
  4. Cover and bake at 350°F (177°C) for 35 to 40 minutes.
  5. Uncover, sprinkle miniature marshmallows over the top, and broil until lightly browned.
