Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 4 or 5 apples, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, salt, and vanilla together.
  2. Add the flour and baking soda; mix well.
  3. Fold in the chopped nuts and chopped apples.
  4. Pour the batter into a well-greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
