Applesauce Drop Donuts

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • oil (for deep frying)
  • sugar-cinnamon mixture
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. applesauce
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Combine liquid and dry ingredients (except oil for frying and sugar-cinnamon mixture).
  2. Drop by teaspoons into hot (365°) fat. Fry to golden brown, turning once.
  3. Roll donuts in sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Best when served warm.
