Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine melted butter, light brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Add dark corn syrup, applesauce, chopped pecans, and eggs to the mixture. Blend well.
  4. Pour the filling into the unbaked 9-inch pie shell.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes.
  6. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue baking for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  7. Remove from oven and cool before serving.
