Ingredients

  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

  1. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan and preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat applesauce, brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs on medium speed for 1 minute.
  3. Stir in the biscuit baking mix, pumpkin pie spice, and chopped nuts.
  4. Spread the batter evenly in the greased pan.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes until set and golden.
  6. Cool the bars and frost with vanilla or chocolate frosting.
  7. Cut into 3 x 1-inch bars and serve.
