Ingredients

  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1 pt. water
  • 1/2 c. pickling salt
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 slice onion
  • 1 head dill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 small piece alum

Instructions

  1. Slice cucumbers into jars and fill with hot liquid.
  2. Seal the jars to preserve the pickles.
  3. Pickles will be ready in approximately 8 weeks.
