Ingredients

  • 6 Rome apples
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples thoroughly.
  2. Cut the apples in halves, then into quarters.
  3. Line a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish with a layer of apple pieces.
  4. Sprinkle some sugar over the first layer of apples.
  5. Melt the margarine and pour a small amount over the sugar layer.
  6. Add another layer of apples, then pour melted margarine and the remaining sugar over the top.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
