Awesome Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. diced bacon
  • 1 1/2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 2 large cans evaporated milk
  • 1 can whole kernel corn
  • 2 cans creamed corn

Instructions

  1. Fry the diced bacon in a large kettle until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside.
  2. Cook the chopped onions in the bacon grease until they are clear.
  3. Parboil the potatoes in a smaller pan.
  4. Add the milk, canned corn, creamed corn, and cooked potatoes to the onions in the kettle.
  5. Warm the mixture on low heat until hot, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
  6. Add the cooked bacon to the chowder before serving, or serve separately as a condiment.
