Ingredients

  • 3 medium turnips, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  2. Add salt and bring to a boil; cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Fry bacon in a skillet until crisp.

  6. Pour the bacon mixture over the cooked turnips and toss gently.
