Aztec Marinade
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar ⓘ
- 1/2 yellow onion ⓘ
- 1/4 cup lemon juice ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons key lime juice, fresh-squeezed (about 6 large key limes) ⓘ
- 2 tablespoons red chili powder, pure ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme, dried ⓘ
- 1/4 cup cilantro, fresh chopped ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups water ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder ⓘ
- 1/3 cup raisins ⓘ
- 3 garlic cloves ⓘ
- 1/4 cup brown sugar ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper ⓘ
- 1/4 cup olive oil ⓘ
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together in blender until smooth.
- Marinate thawed cuts of meat in the mixture for at least two hours, or in refridgerator overnight.
- Grill on hot flame until thoroughly cooked.
