Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Crisco or Spry
  • 3/4 c. white sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. clove
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 1/8 c. water
  • 1 c. raisins

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening with sugars.
  2. Add eggs, but save 1 tablespoon to brush on the tops of the cookies.
  3. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquids.
  4. Add nuts and raisins.
