Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon, chopped
  • 2 (3 oz.) packages cream cheese with chives, room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until crisp.
  2. Drain the bacon on paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, chili sauce, hot pepper sauce, and freshly ground pepper.
  4. Add chopped green onions, cooked bacon, and toasted slivered almonds, and mix until blended but still chunky.
  5. Refrigerate for up to two days or freeze for later use.
  6. If frozen, defrost in the refrigerator; if the dip is too thick, stir in additional sour cream.
