Bacon-stuffed mushrooms are savory appetizers featuring tender mushroom caps filled with a creamy bacon and onion mixture, topped with melted Cheddar cheese, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. fresh mushrooms
  • 8 bacon slices
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 12 oz. cream cheese
  • grated Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel; remove and chop stems.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, fry bacon slices until brown.
  3. Remove bacon to paper towels and leave a small amount of grease in the skillet.
  4. Add minced onion and chopped stems to the skillet and cook until tender.
  5. Add crumbled bacon and cream cheese to the mixture and stir until melted.
  6. Stuff mushroom caps with the mixture and cover with grated Cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake at 350°F on a slightly greased baking sheet for 12 to 15 minutes.
