Ingredients

  • 1 fryer, cut up
  • cooking oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper
  • 3/4 can water
  • 1 green pepper, cubed
  • 3 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1/2 can golden cream of mushroom soup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cut up the fryer chicken.
  3. Place the chicken pieces in a greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake the chicken in the oven for 45 minutes, turning once, until golden brown.
  6. Combine water, minced onion, and cream of mushroom soup in a saucepan.
  7. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  8. Pour the sauce over the baked chicken pieces.
  9. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  10. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
