Ingredients

  • 15 oz. refrigerated pie crust
  • 3/4 cup cooked apples
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cut the refrigerated pie crust into 8 (4 1/2-inch) circles.
  2. Spoon 1 1/2 tablespoons of cooked apples on one half of each pastry circle.
  3. Moisten the edges of each circle with water.
  4. Fold the dough over the apple filling to form a half-moon shape.
  5. Press the edges to seal, then crimp with a fork.
  6. Place the turnovers on a lightly greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 13 to 15 minutes until golden.
  8. In a small bowl, combine sugar and ground cinnamon.
  9. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the baked turnovers.
