Ingredients

  • 3 lb shredded cabbage
  • 1 small can chopped pimento
  • 1/2 pint vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 No. 2 can tomatoes
  • 1/4 lb chopped green peppers
  • 1/8 cup salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix shredded cabbage, chopped pimento, chopped green peppers, chopped tomatoes, salt, red cayenne pepper, vinegar, and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Cover and refrigerate overnight or for several hours to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Serve chilled; will keep refrigerated a week or more with lid kept on.
