Ingredients

  • bear paws, skinned
  • margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 8 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. Brown the bear paws in a skillet with margarine.
  2. Transfer the browned paws to a casserole dish and season with salt, thyme, cinnamon, and black pepper.
  3. Fry chopped onions in the remaining fat until softened.
  4. Pour the cooked onions over the paws in the casserole.
  5. Add beef bouillon to the casserole.
  6. Lay slices of bacon over the top of the casserole.
  7. Cover and bake at 325°F until the bear paws are tender.
