Baked German Carp Fish

A hearty baked German carp featuring a flavorful cornbread and chicken soup dressing, topped with onions and butter, perfect for festive or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups corn bread
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 eggs, boiled and diced
  • 2 Tbsp sage
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine corn bread, cream of chicken soup, diced onion, boiled and diced eggs, sage, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  2. Line a pan with foil and place the dressing mixture inside.
  3. Place the carp fish on top of the dressing in the pan.
  4. Season the fish with salt and pepper, then cut onion slices and place them on top of the fish.
  5. Put a pat of butter on each onion slice.
  6. Bake in a 450°F (232°C) oven for 1 hour.
