A savory baked Gouda cheese wrapped in crescent roll dough, coated with mustard and egg white, then baked until golden — perfect as an appetizer or indulgent snack.

Ingredients

  • 7 oz Gouda cheese
  • 8 oz crescent rolls
  • 2 to 3 tsp Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 egg white
  • sesame seed

Instructions

  1. Remove crescent roll dough from can and place on a cookie sheet. Press perforations together.
  2. Remove wax from the Gouda cheese and place it in the center of the dough.
  3. Coat the cheese with Dijon-style mustard.
  4. Bring up the edges of the dough to cover the cheese and press to seal.
  5. Brush the dough with beaten egg white and sprinkle with sesame seed.
  6. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until nicely browned.
  7. Cut in wedges and serve immediately.
