Baked Turnips

- Peel and slice the turnips thin.
- Cook in a little salted water until barely tender, then drain.
- Mash the turnips.
- Add milk, margarine, salt, and sugar to the mash.
- Put the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- Sprinkle toasted bread crumbs and shredded Cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in a 375°F oven for about 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
