- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- With an electric mixer, blend water and honey.
- Beat in the egg or egg whites.
- Add mashed ripe bananas and blend in.
- In another bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to banana mixture and stir in chopped walnuts.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
