  • 3/4 c. thawed orange juice concentrate
  • 4 1/2 c. low-fat milk

Instructions

  1. Place half of the bananas, lemon juice, ginger, orange juice concentrate, and milk in a food processor or blender.
  2. Whirl at high speed until well blended and smooth.
  3. Pour into a serving pitcher.
  4. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate covered up to 3 hours.
  6. Whisk to blend before serving.

Tips & Substitutions

For a creamier texture, use whole milk instead of low-fat milk. If you want to reduce the sweetness, substitute a portion of the bananas with unsweetened applesauce. Fresh orange juice can also be used instead of concentrate for a fresher flavor. Ground cinnamon can be added for extra warmth. For a dairy-free option, use almond or coconut milk.

Serving Suggestions

Serve this Banana-Orange Cream as a refreshing dessert or a breakfast treat. It pairs wonderfully with granola or a slice of Doreen'S Corn Bread for a complete meal. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra touch. This dish also complements fruit salads or can be enjoyed alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Before serving, whisk the mixture again to restore its smooth consistency. Avoid freezing, as the texture can become grainy once thawed. Serve chilled for the best flavor.
