Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine ketchup, applesauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Stir the mixture until smooth and bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Place the ribs on a rack in a preheated 300°F oven.
  4. Baste the ribs with the sauce, then bake for 45 to 60 minutes.
  5. Flip the ribs and baste the other side.
  6. Continue baking for an additional 45 to 60 minutes until the ribs are tender and caramelized.
