- Put a layer of potatoes in a baking dish, sprinkle with chopped onion and salt and pepper. Lay slices of cheese over them. Repeat the layers.
- Mix ketchup, milk, butter, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco together and pour over the potato layers.
- Place a bay leaf on top.
- Cover and bake at 350° to 375° for 1 1/2 hours.
- Remove the bay leaf before serving.
