Barbecue Potatoes are a comforting and hearty dish featuring layers of tender potatoes and onions, all smothered in a rich, creamy sauce with a hint of tang from ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Perfect for family gatherings or potlucks, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table.

Ingredients

  • 4 large thin sliced potatoes
  • 1 small chopped onion
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Put a layer of potatoes in a baking dish, sprinkle with chopped onion and salt and pepper. Lay slices of cheese over them. Repeat the layers.
  2. Mix ketchup, milk, butter, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco together and pour over the potato layers.
  3. Place a bay leaf on top.
  4. Cover and bake at 350° to 375° for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
