Ingredients

  • 1 Boston butt, 3 or 4 lb.
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup broth, more if desired
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • Tabasco sauce

Instructions

  1. Boil the Boston butt for 3 to 5 hours
  2. in salted water. Cool and remove from juice. Skim off most of the fat, leaving enough for flavor. Break meat into medium pieces and set aside.
