Ingredients

  • 8 oz crushed pineapple
  • 21 oz cherry pie filling
  • 1 pkg lemon or yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Drain the pineapple and save the liquid.
  2. Spread the pineapple in a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Add cherry pie filling over the pineapple, spreading gently.
  4. Sprinkle dry cake mix over the pie filling.
  5. Top with chopped pecans.
  6. Combine melted butter with the reserved pineapple juice.
  7. Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the top.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  9. Cut into squares and serve topped with whipped topping.
