Ingredients

  • 6 tomato slices (1/4 inch thick)
  • 6 thin sliced red onions
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Place tomato slices in a shallow glass dish.
  2. Top each tomato slice with a thin slice of red onion.
  3. Combine chopped fresh basil, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and sugar in a bowl and mix well until blended.
  4. Drizzle the marinade onto the tomato slices and onions.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
