Ingredients

  • 3 c. cooked rice
  • 1/4 c. margarine or butter
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 3 lb. hamburger
  • 1 large onion
  • catsup
  • macaroni or spaghetti
  • peas

Instructions

  1. While frying the hamburger and onion, cook macaroni or spaghetti until tender and drain.
  2. Drain juice off of hamburger and onion.
  3. Put the cooked hamburger into an 8 x 12 x 2-inch baking pan or dish.
  4. Then cover this with catsup.
  5. I put 1 can of peas on one-half of the hamburger and 1 can of corn on the other. (Season with salt and pepper.)
  6. Then add your choice of cheese on top of the casserole and season.
  7. Put in oven and bake about 30 minutes at 325° to 350°.
