Baumkuchen-Torte(Tree Cake)
A rich, layered Baumkuchen-Torte with buttery sponge layers brushed with apricot jam and covered in smooth chocolate frosting, perfect for special occasions and dessert lovers.

Instructions
- Cream the butter with egg yolks and sugar until smooth.
- Add sifted flour and baking powder to the mixture.
- Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites gently.
- Line the bottom of a round cake pan with greased wax paper.
- Bake the dough in 12 to 15 separate layers, approximately 3 tablespoons each, at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes per layer until slightly golden.
- Allow each layer to cool, then brush with apricot jam and stack on top of each other.
- Once all layers are assembled, cover the entire cake with chocolate frosting.
