Ingredients

  • 2 lb. bear meat (round steak)
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 small can pimentos, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 large can kidney beans
  • 1 large can red beans
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Cut the bear meat into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Brown the meat in oil in a large pot.
  3. Add 2 cups of water, oregano, cumin, chili powder, garlic, and diced pimentos. Bring to a boil and simmer slowly for 2 1/2 hours.
  4. Stir in flour and the canned kidney and red beans.
  5. Simmer for an additional 20 minutes.
