Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup hot water
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove outer leaves of cabbage and cut into 6 wedges. Place in a baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle chopped onion and uncooked rice between the cabbage wedges. Crumble ground beef between the wedges.
  3. Combine canned tomatoes, hot water, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Mix the tomato mixture well.
  5. Pour the mixture over the casserole.
  6. Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 1/2 hours.
