Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes

Instructions

  1. In an ovenproof skillet, sauté ground beef, chopped onions, and green peppers with chili powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until the meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender. Stir frequently to crumble the meat.
  2. Add canned tomatoes and cooked rice to the skillet and mix well.
  3. Top with grated sharp cheese, then bake at 350°F until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
