Beef Cubes Gourmet

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. beef cubes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (17 oz) can peas, drained
  • melted shortening
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can mushroom steak sauce
  • 1/4 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown meat in a small amount of melted shortening in large, heavy frying pan; add seasoning and water.
  2. Cover and simmer until tender, 40 minutes.
  3. Add more water if needed.
  4. Stir in steak sauce and peas; heat thoroughly and remove from heat.
  5. Stir in sour cream.
  6. Serve over buttered noodles or rice.
