Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground chuck
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large raw cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large can chopped tomatoes
  • 2 - 15 oz. cans chili beans
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown ground chuck with chopped onion in a large pot.
  2. Add chopped cabbage, chopped tomatoes, and chili beans to the pot.
  3. Pour in enough water to almost cover the cabbage.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for 3 to 4 hours until the cabbage is tender and water has cooked down some.
