Beef 'N Cheese Foldover

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 6 slices American processed cheese
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerator dinner rolls
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger and chopped onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in barbecue sauce and set aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Unroll the refrigerator dinner roll dough into 4 long rectangles on an ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Overlap the long sides of each rectangle.
  6. Press perforations together and seal the edges.
  7. Pat the dough into a 15 x 13-inch rectangle.
  8. Spread the meat mixture lengthwise in a 4-inch wide strip down the center of the dough, leaving 1 inch from each end.
  9. Top the meat with slices of American processed cheese.
  10. Fold the shorter ends of the dough 1 inch over the filling.
  11. Bring the long sides of the dough rectangle over the filling, overlapping the edges.
  12. Pinch the edges to seal the foldover.
  13. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top (optional).
  14. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
