Ingredients

  • 8 oz. macaroni
  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup ham
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • butter or margarine
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Layer into a buttered 1 1/2 to 2-quart baking dish three layers each of cooked macaroni, sautéed onion, ham, and grated Cheddar cheese.
  2. Sprinkle each layer with salt and pepper, ending with a top layer of cheese, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour milk over the layered mixture.
  4. Sprinkle with paprika on top.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 35 to 45 minutes or until brown and bubbly.
