Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. beef, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup tomato catsup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons beefsteak sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons salad oil or shortening

Instructions

  1. Place cubed meat in a bowl.
  2. Combine tomato catsup, salt, beefsteak sauce, sugar, cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, water, and salad oil or shortening to make the marinade.
  3. Pour the marinade over the meat and toss to coat.
  4. Thread the meat cubes onto skewers.
  5. Grill the skewers over medium-high heat until the meat is cooked through, about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally.
