Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburg
  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. pot roast
  • 1 pt. tomatoes
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. pepper
  • water

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburg or pot roast in a heavy 4-quart pot.
  2. Add tomatoes, onion soup mix, beef bouillon cubes, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and enough water to keep covered.
  3. Cook until meat is done.
  4. Add carrots.
  5. Always keep covered with water.
