Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Heat milk, water, and butter until warm (120 to 130 degrees; butter does not need to melt).
  4. Add the warm milk mixture to the flour mixture.
  5. Add eggs and blend at low speed with an electric mixer until moistened.
  6. Beat one minute at medium speed.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and foil.
  8. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  9. Pour batter onto a preheated waffle iron and cook until browned.
