Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 cup unseasoned warm mashed potatoes
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 6 to 7 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the warm water.
  2. Stir in the unseasoned mashed potatoes, sugar, eggs, and salt.
  3. Mix well until combined.
  4. Add half of the flour and stir until incorporated.
  5. Gradually add enough remaining flour until the dough is easy to handle.
  6. Knead the dough for 5 minutes.
  7. Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning it greased side up.
  8. Cover and store the dough for up to 5 days.
