  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 cup hot water

Instructions

  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35 minutes.
