Ingredients

  • 1/2 gallon dill pickles, washed multiple times in cool water
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Bring vinegar, sugar, and water to a boil until syrup forms.
  2. Cube or slice the washed dill pickles.
  3. Layer pickles in a jar.
  4. Add one layer of pickles, then a garlic clove, and repeat until all are layered.
  5. Pour the hot syrup over the layered pickles and garlic.
  6. Seal the jar and refrigerate.
  7. Let sit for 2 days before eating; will keep for some time.
