Tender, flavorful overnight beef roast slow-cooked in mushroom gravy and onion soup mix, perfect for family dinners or special occasions with rich, comforting flavors.

Ingredients

  • 6 lb. sirloin tip roast
  • 2 jars Heinz mushroom gravy
  • 2 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup Wish-Bone Italian dressing

Instructions

  1. Place the sirloin tip roast in a roasting pan.
  2. Mix Heinz mushroom gravy, dry onion soup mix, and Wish-Bone Italian dressing.
  3. Pour the mixture over the roast.
  4. Roast, covered, at 350°F for 3 hours.
  5. Remove the meat from the drippings and allow to cool slightly.
  6. Tightly cover and chill the meat and the drippings separately overnight.
  7. The next day, slice the beef.
  8. Place the sliced meat in a flat roasting pan or lasagna pan.
  9. Skim off fat from the chilled drippings and pour over the meat.
  10. Reheat, covered, at 350°F for 1 hour before serving.
