Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 large can diced tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can kidney beans (15 oz)
  • 1 small can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon chili powder
  • Tobasco sauce to taste
  • 5 cherry peppers
  • Shredded cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Cook beef and onions together in a 3-quart saucepan until the meat is browned and the onion is tender.
  2. Drain the grease from the mixture.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, sugar, chili powder, Tobasco sauce, and chopped cherry peppers.
  4. Heat the mixture to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese.
