Instructions
- Mix sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla well.
- Stir in 3 tablespoons buttermilk and sapote pulp.
- Sift together
- flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
- Mix in raisins and nuts.
- Pour into waxed paper lined pans.
- Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350°.
