Ingredients

  • 1 large head lettuce
  • 2 cups tomatoes, chopped or 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 envelope dry buttermilk style dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry buttermilk-style dressing mix with sour cream, mayonnaise, and milk in a large bowl to make the dressing.
  2. Add chopped lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and shredded Cheddar cheese (if using) to the dressing, then stir to combine.
  3. Cover the salad and chill for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Just before serving, toss the salad well to coat evenly with the dressing.
