A fun and hearty sandwich featuring toasted bread filled with peanut butter and bananas, perfect for kids and casual gatherings. Deliciously sweet and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 loaf Italian white bread
  • 2 large bananas
  • 1 large jar smooth peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread the butter generously over all sides of the loaf.
  3. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the oven until evenly browned, about 15 minutes.
  4. Slice the loaf lengthwise and hollow out the interior, leaving as much bread along the walls as desired.
  5. Fill the cavity of the loaf with peanut butter and jelly to taste.
  6. Arrange banana slices inside the cavity or layer them between the peanut butter and jelly.
  7. Close the loaf and serve.
